• Website Design


Quotations are valid for 30 days.
A deposit of 30% of the cost of the design is required before work commences.
The acceptance of a commission quote either verbally or in writing shall be deemed as a contractual agreement between the client and Lorton Designs.
Deposit paid confirms that you are in agreement with and bound by the terms and conditions stated below.
Charges for any additional services over and above the estimated design will become fully payable when the estimate or quotation is accepted.
Once a website has been designed and completed the final balance of payment is then due in accordance to our payment terms and conditions and the client will be invoiced for the balance of their account.
The website will be published and available for public viewing once payment in full has been made.
Payment options, and flexibility plans are available, for consideration please contact us.
Payment options are only valid if agreed to by us and signed documentation has been approved.
The quotation is subject to amendment if you later request alterations or request extra work.
Changes required over and above the estimated work or required to be carried out after acceptance will be liable to a separate charge.
The invoice for the initial design will be based on the quotation.
Lorton Designs holds no responsibility for any amendments made by any third party, before or after a design is published.
Quotes for ecommerce, selling online involve the use of Pay Pal as the payment gateway unless specified otherwise at the time of quotation and all relevant costs associated with the set up of any other merchant provider and the use of any SSL Certificate required is added to the cost of the quotation.
Should Lorton Designs be unable to complete the website, within the agreed timeframe, due to the client’s inability to supply the necessary documentation, images etc., then Lorton Designs reserves the right to demand a percentage payment for any work completed to that date and will issue an interim invoice.
Lorton Designs reserves the right to refuse, any text, images or other data which is deemed to be immoral, offensive, obscene or illegal.
Browser compatibility, we endeavor to design our website's to be compatible in all browsers, Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, opera and Safari however some features may not always be supported by some browsers.
Search Engine Submission, Lorton Designs will endeavor to give your website high search engine placements however due to the infinite number of considerations that search engines use when determining a site's ranking, we cannot guarantee any particular placement.
Time taken to appear in search results varies from one search engine to another.
Rankings will also vary as new sites are added.
Lorton Designs reserves the right to use sub-contractors, agents and suppliers.
Web design credits - Lorton Designs reserves the right place a small line of text/link at the bottom of the page.
Liability, Lorton Designs will not be held liable for any costs incurred, compensation or loss of earnings due to any services or work carried out on behalf of the client or any third parties.


• Hosting and Domain names

All hosting and Domain name services require up front payment unless other terms have been arranged and agreed to by us.
Payments for hosting are billed yearly in accordance to our payment terms and conditions.
Domain names billed yearly or every 2 years in accordance to our payment terms and conditions.
Invoices for hosting are emailed approximately 3 weeks prior to hosting expiry date.
Hosting accounts must be paid by the required renewal date in accordance to our payment terms and conditions.
Lorton Designs reserves the right to suspend hosting accounts which are 30 days overdue and a reconnection fee may apply.
Accounts over 35 days may be terminated without contact.

(All payments are in Australian Dollars) Payments
Late payments will incur a $20 accounting fee.
Payment by cash is immediate payment, chegues and other means of payment are treated as received when processed through the bank.

• Invoicing

All invoices sent are payable in 7 days unless other terms have been arranged and agreed to by us.
All invoices sent via email and or (if requested by mail).
Invoices are in PDF format.

• Copyrights

The client must either own the material provided to us or have obtained the appropriate permission to use such material to be included in your website.
The client guarantees and is responsible for the content supplied to us by you in regards to all photos, graphics, text, trademarks or any other works of art.
Liability, Lorton Designs will not be held liable for any costs incurred, compensation or loss of earnings due to any services or work carried out on behalf of the client or any third parties.


• Cancellations

Should the client cancel at any time Lorton Designs will invoice the client for all work completed over and above the non-refundable deposit.
Once a website has been designed and completed the final balance of payment is then due in accordance to our payment terms and conditions.
If the client no longer wants the website they are still obligated to pay for the work done.
The client must advise Lorton Designs of any cancellations of any service provided verbally and in writing to the post box address listed on this website, an invoice will then be sent out for payment of all work up to that date.
No payment will result in legal action if necessary.


• Alterations

Lorton Designs will not be held responsible for any changes made by the client or any third party in relation to your website.
Changes include and are not limited to any file, text, graphic modification and or deletions.
A charge will apply to rectify any such errors or deletions.

These terms and conditions supersede any previous terms and conditions distributed in any form.
Lorton Designs reserves the right to change any terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
It is the client’s responsibility to periodically check this page for any updates or changes.
